SIGN UP FOR A FREE PRINT FROM PHONE BOOTH

Ok I was just about to take to my bed when I got a couple of emails from the U.S. one was from Harry Diaz regarding a 1Dollar print. This has now gone but looks nice (above) and the 2nd email was from Harry's gallery Phone Booth. It reads like this:
" From now until the end of June, we will collect the emails of everyone that signs up for our mailing list and put them in a big hat (literally!) Then 5 emails will be drawn, and the free prints will be sent off! Easy as pie, er cake as they say. All you have to do is enter your email into the box on this page: http://www.phoneboothgallery.com/contact.htm"
So as we now have all missed out on Harry's 1dollar print, sign up to the mailing list and try to get one for free. Phone Booth Gallery also look after the wonderful Handiedan (below), Kevin Tong, and Kevin Bannister.

I AM DAIN VIDEO

I got this from the Brooklynite Gallery (I dare you to click the link and not start dancing) and really liked this video, then read Vandalog's take on it. I would really like to think that the artist is Basts' brother and is around 70 years old. Make your own mind up and leave your comments here at artbleat or on the Vandalog blog.

TIME BOMB @ MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART SYDNEY

Lukasz Karluk (Holler) has collaborated with Stupid Krap artists KissKiss, DMOTE, Kid Zoom, Numskull, Ben Frost, Roach, John Doe, Bennet and Creon to present the work TimeBomb.
Nine street and studio artists were invited to contribute to the TimeBomb piece by painting layers of different style on the ‘wall’ while being continuously documented through time-lapse photography. The final installation will appear as two giant suspended graffiti walls. One painted wall will be real, the other a projected double, interacting with the viewers movements to reveal the layers of graffiti swirling backwards in time. Opening Wednesday May 27 , 8pm – 9pm at the Museum Of Contemporary Art, Sydney.
Below is the time lapse video of the artwork

SHEPARD DROPS HIS CASH

OK! I stole the following from THE POSTER DISTRICT as they seem to get better info from OBEY GIANT than I do:

"This Tuesday, May 19th Shepard Fairey will be releasing his latest creation, “A Heartbeat And A Guitar And The Making Of Bitter Tears”. Here is a little bit about the image:
“A Heartbeat and a Guitar tells of the collaboration of two distinct yet connected musicians—iconoclast Johnny Cash and pioneering folk artist Peter La Farge—and the album they created, Bitter Tears: Ballads of the American Indian. It also tells of the unique personal, political, and cultural struggles that informed this album, one that has influenced the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan.
D’Ambrosio has interviewed dozens of Cash’s and La Farge’s friends, family, and collaborators, including surviving members of his band, his producers, and Pete Seeger and Kris Kristofferson, creating a dramatic picture of both an era of radical protest and the making of one of the most controversial and enduring works of political pop art of the 1960s"
(Is it me or has Johnny got a funny shaped head in this print?)
So, dropping sometime Tuesday 19th,
Measuring up at the usual 18" X 24"
From an edition of 450
Costing $50 plus shipping
Limit of 1 per person
